Blue Snakeskin Jumpsuit

// Snake print jumpsuit (similar linked here and here) /Floppy hat /Booties /Purse /Mini monogrammed necklace / $12 sunnies I found locally //

I hope you all had a great Labor Day and weekend! My brother and I were able to ride home together from school on Friday and have a chill weekend at home. It was a nice time to catch our breath before football season kicks up! Cannot. wait. Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year.

As we are transitioning into fall weather and football games, I have found this perfect blue snake skin print jumpsuit! I'm planning to wear it to a 'blue' game in the near future. Recently, I have become a huge fan of the jumpsuit. They are so fun and different and are practically a whole outfit in one!

College Life Update (& Dorm pics!)

Well, I am officially moved into college and have completed my first week of school! I am happy to report that I did not get lost and am pleasantly surprised by my schedule. (I'm finished with classes by 11:50 MW and 10:50 on F!) My life is now all written out in my planner and on hand at all times. I moved into my dorm last Tuesday and then ran back home that Saturday to grab some things I had planned to pick up. It was a quick stop home but it made me feel very "adult-like." haha! I now have to worry about where my next meal is coming from and balancing time-management. It's weird, but I'm loving it.

The Lucys in room 311 are doing very well! Here is a look at our dorm:

Thank you to both our families for helping us on move in day! We could not be happier with it!!

And of course, a first day of school picture:

I have met so many great people already, especially the girls on my floor. I am going on a retreat this weekend in Memphis with a Christian campus organization called CRU where I will probably meet some more great people! I can't wait!

I know this post is getting long but I just wanted to put out there that I am planning on keeping up my blog up as best as I can. Life is crazy busy freshmen year (really, all the time) but blogging is something I love and though posts might be scarce, I hope you'll continue following along with me!

Plaid Mini Skort

//Vince top (s/o to my cousins for the hand-me-down!) /Lisa & Lucy skort /Black booties (similar here) /Stein Mart sunglasses /Chanel earrings & bag //

I'm stepping out today in a little dressier of an outfit that would be great for a night out or party. As I mentioned in my last post, I have really been loving skirts, and in this case, skorts! There are endless  ways to wear this skort because of the many different, neutral colors. I love it paired with this white flowy sleeved top because 1. It is so fun to wear and 2. though it is summertime, sometimes I like a little more coverage when I'm in the AC. These booties are a fall/winter staple for sure and I believe I got them for around $20! I couldn't find the exact link to them but I found another pair that are very similar.

P.S. I move into my dorm a week from today! Ahh!

Printed Silk & Denim

//Michael Kors Silk Tunic (thrifted) /Denim mini skirt (Goodwill) /Target belt (old) /Old Navy shoes /Forever 21 sunglasses /Anthropologie Choker /Gold hoop earrings /LV bag //

Recently, I have been loving skirts. I think I forgot how versatile and cute they can be! The denim cut off mini skirt has been pretty trendy lately and y'all, I literally went to Goodwill and found this denim skirt that originally went to my knees and cut it off with a pair of strong scissors. So easy. This beautiful tunic I thrifted a while ago is still one of my favorites and I love finding new ways to wear it. Normally, I just throw it on with white jeans but it is wayy too hot for that these days. Unfortunately, the tunic isn't quite long enough to wear as a dress because it has slits on the sides so I play it safe with a little half tuck in the front of whatever bottoms I'm wearing. My favorite last touch is this necklace from Anthro, it goes with absolutely everything!

Summer Camp Recap

Hi Friends! I got back from camp last Thursday and it was nothing short of amazing. I still can't believe that 1. I just finished my last year as a camper and 2. I move into college in less than 2 weeks!! There have been a lot exciting changes in my life and it is all going and coming so fast. People keep asking me if I am ready for college so soon and the answer is yes. I am ready for dorm life with my awesome roommate, I'm ready for new friendships, and I'm ready for a new daily routine. There is no doubt it will be difficult at times but God's timing is perfect and I am trusting that whatever falls on my plate I am ready to take on. James 1 has really been an encouragement to me these days, please go read it if you get the chance!

Here are a few pictures from my time at camp!

P.S. I cannot wait to show my dorm decor, I absolutely love it!!

Summer Camp 2016

It's that time of year again! This will be my last summer as a camper at Camp Greystone A.K.A my little slice of heaven. I am leaving this Saturday and will be gone for 5 weeks starting Monday. Every year for the past 9 summers I have gone to camp. There is nowhere in this world I would rather  be for 5 weeks. I try to explain to people how awesome it is to spend practically a whole summer with all girls and no technology in the mountains of North Carolina. People who have gone to camp "get it" and are excited for me. Others, think it is some sort of cult and that I'm going against my will. Trust me, my dad has offered me many an amazing trip I could take or car I could buy as opposed to going to camp and I have never had to think twice before kindly telling him I'd rather go to camp. Some people think that because I go to camp I am missing out on what's going on at home and the camps that my friends go to for one week or less. I just tell them they've never been to my camp. Because the truth is, there have been times in the past where I have seen pictures of all my friends having a good time that summer and felt like I had missed out. But when I take a step back and look at all the doors camp has opened for me and the unbreakable bonds of friendships I have. I know I made the right choice and the right investment of my time.

Side story: When I went to my freshman orientation several weeks ago, we were put into fairly small groups with one group leader. We were all sitting in a circle and I knew no one. But, the girl sitting across from me looked very very familiar. After our leader was finished talking, I went up to the girl and flat out asked her how I knew her. She asked me if I went to Camp Greystone and we clicked. I don't even remember knowing her that well at camp but just having that one thing in common we had a special connection and were able to talk and catch up. These kinds of run-ins happen to me all. the. time. I even ran into a camp friend while I was in Grand Cayman! It is truly a wonderful thing.

Though it is bitter-sweet to think that this is my last summer as a camper, I am very sure that I will be back as a counselor or working at camp in some way. I like to joke that I'll marry into the camp family and live at Greystone the rest of my life. We'll see ;)

Here are a few throwback pictures from my earlier years at camp:

Powder Blue Dress

//Dress -I don't think it's online yet but I linked a very similar one /Boots /Ray-Bans /Purse /Small Monogram Necklace //

My trusty summer standby is a sun dress with my cowgirl boots (I could wear these all day!) I was in Francesca's looking for this exact powder blue off the shoulder dress... actually, I was looking for a gift for a friend, anyway, it really was exactly what I was looking for! One of the Ole Miss football game colors this fall is powder blue which happens to be one of my favorite colors but is also sort of hard to come by. Francesca's had some really cute options in store! I love wearing dresses on game day because it can be so. hot. Mississippi heat is really something else. Dresses are perfect because they are flowy and breathable. People may call me crazy for prepping game day outfits so early but after I come back from camp, it will be here before we know it!
